We had -13 as the lowest so far, and that's not extreme in any way. Quite unusual, though. The coldest last winter was -8,4 and the winter before that it was -11. Those temps usually last for only a night or two (or more correctly; a few hours during early morning).
Today it's about +2 and a little windy.
