do you know the name of the suburb? Yes i had holidays and was one week in berlin and brandenburg so i could not read your emails... but i answered just at that moment as you already was started to Italy...

In summer most of the years i stay at home or make some german city tours or drive to scandinavia... becasue why should in drive in the heat over 35°C when at my home is also good and hot weather 25-30°C; than i prefer holidays in winter.... ;-)
