I don't think it's a good idea to import Trachycarpus fortunei from China. Why should they be more hardy than those that are imported from Italy? Genetically they are perfectly the same. It's much better to have healthy Trachycarpus fortunei that are grown from seeds in Denmark or even Europe!
Also there are many problems with Trachycarpus imported from China, as they are very often imported without or with only few roots.
