Yep, Munich area is strong short thunder and much rain normal... caused by the alpes.
In Nürnberg is much more dry. 560mm/year in Nürnberg to 1000mm/rain/year in Munich.

But strong thunderstorms are in Nürnberg area or in all sourthern Germany parts and Austria very normal. Heat from 35°C clashes with polar air from north east.... ;-)
Short heavy rain and wind are following.

It´s heavy weather for palm trees.
But without we haven´t any rain in summer ;-)
Today cloudy and cold, only 13°C now, yesterday sunny 19°C and tuesday sunny 25°C.
All in all to cold for June.

April and May had Tmax average from 20-21°C.
