I have the same problem, cannot identify are the banana plants alive or not, though the protection was good enough.
Could anyone advice, is it nesessary to cut the last year dead pseudostem to the living tissue or better to leave it as it is; and is there some sense to care this dead pseudostem with fungicide to protect possible new growth under the ground from fungies?
